This Volkswagen Beetle 1200, also known as the "Oval," is a rare and highly sought-after model. Delivered new on February 14, 1955 at the Islinger company in Mannheim, Germany, this Beetle has had only three owners over the years. The last owner kept the car in his possession for more than 24 years and documented everything from day one to the present.
Completely Restored and Clearly Documented
In Germany, this Beetle underwent a complete restoration and technical overhaul. The bodywork is in beautiful condition and the fits are perfect. The interior was completely reconditioned at the time and is still in an original and well cared for condition. Finished in the original color 'Jupitergrau', this Beetle impresses with its neat finish and preservation of authenticity.
Matching Numbers and Unique History
What makes this Beetle extra special is that it still has its original matching numbers 1200 engine. In addition, the car comes with a letter from the Stiftung AutoMuseum Volkswagen confirming the car's authenticity. The full history of the car, including its import to the Netherlands and all owner changes, is extensively documented and preserved. This makes this Beetle a true collector's item.
