Description

This early 1967 Alfa Romeo Spider 1600 Duetto is one of the most beloved versions, known for its iconic "round tail" design. This example, painted in the classic and popular color Rosso Alfa (AR304), comes from sunny California, where the favorable climate has preserved the car's condition. The body is in good condition, with original sheet metal edges clearly visible in the trunk, under the hood and around the fenders. Known weak points, such as the rear edge of the trunk and the welding points under the hood, are all in very clean condition here.

Although the car has already been repainted once, the work was done by a professional who took care of the finish. The paint is even and the specimen exudes refinement and originality, with the only minor deviation being a deliberately chosen exterior mirror by a previous owner. The classic line of the Duetto, without the famous "hanging rear", remains completely intact, which is rare for this type of model of this age.

Authentic interior with original dashboard

The interior of this Spider is as impressive as the exterior, with a high degree of originality. The body-colored dashboard is typical of early Spiders and is untouched, with no holes for a radio system, which is a rarity. The floor covering still appears to be original and is in neat condition, while the seats have been reupholstered. The only minor imperfection is a slight damage on the driver's seat surface. The sporty steering wheel and matching gear knob complete the interior, and the convertible top is in clean condition, with a clear window that does not obstruct visibility.

Unbelievable driving pleasure thanks to the 1600 cc engine

Under the hood is a well-maintained 1600 cc engine with 108 hp. Combined with a sporty exhaust, the characteristic "howler pipe," this Spider offers an unparalleled driving experience. The engine's fantastic "Nord rumble" provides a delight to the senses, whether the hood is up or down. The manual transmission and light weight of the car provide an agile and enjoyable driving experience typical of the beloved Alfa Romeo 105 series.

A timeless classic with enduring appeal

The Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto, presented at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, has since become one of the most iconic classics. The combination of Pininfarina's unique design, delightful handling and timeless appeal makes the Duetto an evergreen among car enthusiasts. Well-preserved examples, like this one, are becoming increasingly rare, offering a perfect blend of style, performance and driving pleasure. This Duetto is a perfect embodiment of "La Dolce Vita" on wheels.
