The 1982 Porsche 928 was a sporty Grand Tourer (GT) produced by the German car manufacturer Porsche AG. The Porsche 928 had a striking and characteristic design, with a long, streamlined body, a low nose and a rising rear. It was a 2+2 Coupé with a hatchback tailgate and had an aerodynamic profile. The body of the 928 was made of steel, but had aluminum parts to reduce weight. One of the most striking features of the Porsche 928 was the placement of the engine. Unlike most other Porsche models, the 928 had a V8 engine in the front instead of the traditional rear-mounted engine. This Porsche 928 is equipped with an automatic transmission and is coupled to a rear-wheel drive system. The Porsche 928 was produced from 1977 to 1995 and is considered an iconic Porsche. It was a bold move by Porsche to use a front-mounted V8 engine and introduce a GT model, and although it initially received mixed reactions, the 928 is now appreciated for its unique design, performance and technology. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
