THE EDWIN GROEN MUSEUM AUCTION · ANDIJKOver many years, Edwin Groen assembled an exceptional collection of unusual and rare Citroën 2CVs in Andijk. Locally, he became known through his bicycle business, Edwin Groen Tweewielers B.V. Meanwhile, his passion for the cars affectionately known as ‘Ducks’ grew into an extensive collection.
The Eendenmuseum became a world that transported visitors back in time. Amid Citroën’s heritage stood old shops, replicas and streets from bygone days: carefully crafted scenes resembling life-size dioramas.
The 2CVs were brought together in all sorts of versions, including examples built in France, Belgium and Spain. Among them are exceptionally rare, unused 2CVs with no kilometres on the clock, which have never been driven on the road.
The collection comprises 450 classic cars, including 280 Citroën 2CVs, alongside around 150 mopeds and motorcycles, 7,000 model cars and 500 collectibles. Together they represent a remarkable chapter in Citroën and motoring history.
Although the museum is now closed to visitors, the history and stories behind this exceptional collection live on.
