Description

History and Background

The Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione is part of the modern generation of Abarth models that, starting in 2008, brought the 500 name back into the spotlight in a sporty context. The 595 represents a further evolution of the compact Fiat 500 platform, with an emphasis on handling, spirited performance, and a clear distinction from the standard models. Within the lineup, the Competizione was the version most geared toward track use and dynamic performance, recognizable by its specific seats, suspension tuning, and technical equipment.

In Abarth’s history, the model designation 595 refers to the cars developed in the 1960s under the Abarth label based on the Fiat 500. The modern 2016 Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione continues that tradition by combining a compact body with a sporty technical foundation. In the market at that time, the model occupied a space between compact hot hatches and more distinct niche models, with its combination of size, character, and tuning potential securing it a firm place in the segment.

This 2016 Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione is finished in Grigio Campovolo and equipped with the Performance package, a mechanical limited-slip differential, Sabelt seats with carbon-fiber backs, and various other modifications. As such, this example embodies the well-known principle of the 595 Competizione as a compact yet technically and emphatically sport-oriented Abarth.

Features and Highlights

At 131,000 kilometers, this Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione has undergone extensive technical modifications. These include a Novitec Stradale coilover kit, Powerflex bushings in the control arms and rear axle, 1.5-degree rear camber plates, new stabilizer bars, and new upper control arm bushings. The brakes have also been upgraded, featuring 330-mm rotors, Alfa 159 Brembo calipers, steel-braided brake lines, and new Brembo rotors and pads all around. The original 305-mm brakes have thus been replaced.

The engine setup has also been further developed. The car features an HS300 XTR TD04 turbo, a GMC CNC-machined exhaust manifold, a 63.5 mm downpipe, 613cc injectors, Stage 1 camshafts, a complete 63.5 mm exhaust system from ESG, a TD04 intake kit, and a 7.5-liter ITEC intercooler. According to the technical specifications, with this Stage 3 HS Corse configuration, the car delivers 317 PK and 385 Nm of torque, with a top speed exceeding 260 km/h. During the same period, the timing belt, spark plugs, ignition coils, radiator, cooling fan, and front and rear brake pads and rotors were also replaced. The car rides on 17-inch Integrale wheels in the 8J version with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires.

In addition, several cosmetic details have been added, including a color-matched rear spoiler, a color-matched diffuser, and Italian flags at the front and rear. The Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione is accident-free, has its original paint, a complete maintenance history, has had three owners, comes with a service booklet, and has a valid MOT valid through September 30, 2027.

Summary

This 2016 Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione combines the compact 595 base model with extensive technical modifications, a documented maintenance history, original paint, and various exterior enhancements. The car is in running condition and has undergone several recent replacements and updates. To get a good idea of the lot, we recommend that you attend the viewing day.
