Description

The 1992 Jaguar XJS V12 is part of the long-running XJS series produced from 1975 to 1996 as the successor to the Jaguar E-Type. Whereas the E-Type had a distinctly sporty character, Jaguar emphatically positioned the XJS as a comfortable grand tourer. The combination of a long hood, relatively low roofline and distinctive rear pillars gave the model its own place within the brand's model range. Over the years, the XJS was further developed, adapting technology and trim to changing market requirements.

The 1992 Jaguar XJS V12 belongs to the later production years, in which the model was given a modernized look compared to the early versions. Jaguar made several updates in construction and detail finishing in the early 1990s. The twelve-cylinder engine remained a distinguishing feature within the lineup, underscoring the XJS's positioning as a comfortable touring car with smooth power delivery, befitting the character of a classic British GT.

Within Jaguar's history, the XJS occupies an important place as one of the brand's longest-produced models. Available for much of its production years, the V12 versions were a technical calling card for Jaguar. The combination of luxury, a spacious interior concept and the use of a twelve-cylinder made the 1992 Jaguar XJS V12 a representative appearance within the upper segment of its time.

This 1992 Jaguar XJS V12 is being offered as part of an auction. Interested parties are advised to carefully consult the available documentation and specifications to obtain a complete picture of this specimen. To get a good idea of the lot we advise you to come to the viewing day.
