The 1959 Bristol 406 is a four-door sports saloon by British manufacturer Bristol Cars, produced in a relatively limited run of about 174 between 1958 and 1961. This model marked a period of transition for the marque, changing the design to a wider and more practical body, while retaining its distinctive engineering base. The Bristol 406 features an aluminum body and is equipped with the 2.2-liter six-cylinder Bristol engine, based on prewar BMW designs, combined with an overdrive manual transmission.
