The 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulietta belongs to the third generation of this model, internally referred to as Type 940, which was introduced in 2010 as the successor to the Alfa Romeo 147. With the Giulietta, Alfa Romeo brought back the historic model name previously used in the 1950s and 1970s.
