Description

The 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulietta belongs to the third generation of this model, internally referred to as Type 940, which was introduced in 2010 as the successor to the Alfa Romeo 147. With the Giulietta, Alfa Romeo brought back the historic model name previously used in the 1950s and 1970s. The model positioned itself in the C-segment and was developed on the Fiat Group's then-new modular platform, which was also used in other models within the group.

In 2016, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta underwent an update that included revisions to exterior details and trim levels. Characteristic of this model is the distinctive Alfa Romeo grille combined with recessed rear door handles, giving the design a coupé-like profile. The design was shaped in Italië and is in keeping with the design language Alfa Romeo was following at the time, emphasizing recognizable brand features and dynamic styling.

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta came with various gasoline and diesel engines, depending on market and version. In doing so, the model made use of modern engine technology from the MultiAir and JTDm ranges, which were widely used within the group. The Giulietta was also available with various transmission types, including manual gearboxes and automatic transmissions, depending on the chosen version.

In the Alfa Romeo model range, the Giulietta occupied an important place as a representative in the compact mid-range segment. Production took place at the plant in Cassino, Italyë. Due to the combination of brand identity, platform technology and a long production time until 2020, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta remained a permanent part of the brand's offering for several years.
