Description

The 1952 Chevrolet 3800 Pick up belongs to the Advance-Design series produced by Chevrolet between 1947 and 1955. This generation was completely newly developed at the time and featured a wider cab, integrated fenders and improved all-round visibility compared to prewar models. The 3800 version was known within the range as a heavier variant, intended for higher payloads and professional use. In the early 1950s, these pickups were a regular feature of the American street scene, both in urban and rural areas.

The Chevrolet 3800 Pick up was delivered in 1952 within a period when Chevrolet continued to refine its commercial vehicles in terms of comfort and convenience. That model year included further development of the technical finishes within the existing design. The Advance-Design series is considered one of Chevrolet's commercially successful light- and medium-duty truck lines, with high production numbers spread across multiple trims and wheelbases.

This example features a 6.0L engine mated to an automatic transmission and equipped with power steering. This configuration differs from the original powertrains with which the model was delivered in 1952 and places the Chevrolet 3800 Pick up in a technically modernized context. The combination of a larger engine capacity and an automatic transmission is in line with later developments within the American pickup segment, in which ease of use and driving comfort became more important.

According to reports, the car leaks some oil. Further specifications and features of this 1952 Chevrolet 3800 Pick up are an integral part of the offered lot. To get a good impression of the lot we advise you to come to the viewing day.
