Description

The 2004 Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 belongs to the first-generation CLS, internally referred to as C219, introduced the same year. With this model, Mercedes-Benz introduced the concept of the four-door coupe in the upper segment, combining the lines of a coupe with the practical layout of a sedan. The Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 is technically related to the then current E-Class (W211), with which it shares its basis in terms of platform and technology.

The design of the Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 is characterized by a low roofline, frameless door windows and an emphatically sloping rear end. This design departed from the more traditional sedan shape and gave direction to a new design language within the brand. The positioning of the CLS between the E- and S-Class ensured that the model targeted an audience that valued a combination of comfort and distinct styling.

In the model line, the Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 took an important place as a six-cylinder version. In its first years of production, this variant played a role in the worldwide introduction of the CLS concept. Production of the C219 generation ran from 2004 to 2010, followed by a second generation that further developed the original idea.

This 2004 Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 thus represents the early stages of a model series that created a new market segment within Mercedes-Benz's premium offering. To get a good idea of the lot, we recommend you come to the viewing day.
