Description

This 1967 Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet evolved from the popular open version of the iconic Beetle. In this year of construction, the model received several improvements that further increased reliability and comfort, while retaining its distinctive design with rounded shapes and a fold-down soft top. The Beetle Cabriolet was built by Karmann in Osnabrück, where the bodywork was strengthened and fitted with specific convertible details such as additional steel reinforcements and a more luxurious finish. This gave the model its own character compared to the closed version and made it a popular choice for motorists who wanted to combine open driving with the familiar Beetle feeling.

The 1967 Beetle Cabriolet was at a time when Volkswagen was further refining its technology. At the time, the model came with a rear air-cooled boxer engine, a manual transmission and an improved electrical system. Its simplicity, durability and low-maintenance technology earned the Beetle worldwide acclaim and, even in convertible form, it remained one of the most accessible open cars of its time. Generous production provided a wide range, but the Karmann Convertibles were distinguished by their build quality and special equipment.

With this version, Volkswagen showed how it could combine its classic design with open driving pleasure and solid technology. The 1967 Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet marked an era in which the brand continued to consolidate itself worldwide and built up a loyal fan base. As a result, this model became a fixture on the streets of the 1960s and 1970s. In order to get a good impression of the lot, we advise you to come to the viewing day.
