Ford Mustang Convertible 5.0 V8 1968 - Body-off restored

The 1968 Ford Mustang Convertible 5.0 V8 offered here is an icon of American automotive history, finished in the modern color Carbonized Grey – known from the Mustang Mach-E. This stunning convertible was completely body-off restored, with every detail carefully addressed and even new nuts and bolts used. The restoration has been extensively documented in a complete photo report, which beautifully captures the craftsmanship and dedication of this project.

The car is equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 (302) engine fitted with a new 4-barrel Holley carburetor and mated to a fully rebuilt 3-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to power steering and front disc brakes, this Mustang offers not only impressive power, but also a pleasant driving experience. During the restoration, both the black leather interior and the power convertible top were completely redone, restoring the interior to the appearance of a new one.

In order to best protect the paint, the Mustang has been coated with a professional ceramic coating from Angelwax, with a durability of approximately five years. This treatment provides a deep shine and long-term protection. Furthermore, the car is equipped with a modern custom audio system worth €4,000, including Bluetooth connectivity and control via a detachable tablet.

The car is on new 17-inch Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires and 10-spoke American Racing Shelby Cobra rims, both in excellent condition. An Onntrack tracking system is also installed. Together, this all strikes a perfect balance between classic American design and modern sophistication.
