Offered is a rare left-hand drive 1969 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Drop Head Coupe Mulliner Park, equipped with a 6.2 V8 engine. This model, officially designated as Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow HJ Mulliner Park Ward Drophead Coupe, is considered the predecessor of the Rolls-Royce Corniche. Less than 500 examples of this exclusive car were produced, with each car being hand-built, emphasizing its uniqueness and craftsmanship. The Silver Shadow's design is recognizable by its sleek chrome bumpers, which provide a contrast to the painted or rubber bumpers introduced later on Corniche models.
The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Drop Head Coupe was manufactured by renowned coachbuilder Mulliner Park Ward and featured innovative technologies for its time, such as a hydropneumatic suspension system. This system contributed to the legendary ride comfort that Rolls-Royce has always sought. The 1969 model also included other high-end features that emphasized the brand's luxury and refinement. The engine performed excellently, and shifting was smooth. This example is also equipped with an immobilizer, adding to its safety and usability.
The car has received careful attention throughout its life, with the use of 98-gasoline and a long period of ownership with the last owner since 2003. The tires were in good condition and the original jack, as well as the convertible top cover, were included with the car. The convertible roof and leather on the seats showed signs of use, which some considered a sign of character. To get a good idea of the lot, we recommend coming to the viewing day.
