The 1994 Ferrari 456 GT belonged to a new generation of GT models from the Maranello-based marque and was presented as the successor to the 412. The design came from Pininfarina and stood out for its understated lines and classic proportions, with a front-mid-mounted V12 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This configuration accommodated four people, distinguishing the 456 GT as one of the few Ferraris with a practical 2+2 layout. The bodywork was made of aluminum and mounted on a tubular frame, which contributed to weight savings and handling.
The 5.5-liter twelve-cylinder engine produced 442 horsepower at its introduction and was known for its smooth power delivery and long travel, thanks in part to the use of four camshafts and twelve individual throttle valves. Combined with the manual transmission, the 456 GT was loved by enthusiasts who preferred mechanical involvement. A major maintenance was performed in 2016 at a mileage of 75,609, which included replacing the timing belts, a major concern with this model. The car also had several comfort features such as power seats, power mirrors and windows.
On this example, it was noted that the left window does not close completely, the power mirror adjustment does not work and the power seat adjustment for both front seats (forward/reverse) does not work. These types of issues can vary by individual car and are common on models with extensive electrical systems from this period. To get a good idea of the lot, we recommend coming to the viewing day.
