Beschrijving

The 1985 Mercedes-Benz 380 SL is a classic that offers the perfect balance of elegance, comfort and driving pleasure. With a production period running from 1980 to 1985, this convertible represents an era when Mercedes-Benz focused on combining performance with timeless design. Part of the iconic R107 series, known for its rugged construction and reliability, the 380 SL enjoys worldwide acclaim among classic car enthusiasts.

This particular Mercedes 380 SL has driven only 110,000 miles and is in remarkably nice condition, especially considering its age. The car was originally delivered in Arizona, where the first owner drove it only in the dry climate. As a result, the underside of the car is still completely original and free of tectyl, which is rare for a car of this age. In late 2009, this SL was shipped to the Netherlands, where it has been carefully maintained and stored indoors ever since.

Special about this car is the combination of a hardtop and a softtop. The interior is remarkably well preserved, with undamaged woodwork and a dashboard that, despite the occasional crack, is generally in clean condition. The door panels and seats are free of any major signs of wear, and the original Becker radio adds an authentic touch to the whole.

This SL is equipped with air conditioning, power windows and an automatic transmission, which increases comfort while driving. The new tires, from the renowned brand Michelin, underline the attention paid to the maintenance of this car. Even the original spare tire is still present and appears unused. Mechanically, the car has been well maintained, including a recently updated transmission, making it drive smoothly and trouble-free. Replacement value of $3,200.00.

With its original white underbody and the timeless lines of the R107 design, this Mercedes is an attractive option for the discerning collector or enthusiast. A real eye-catcher that is in excellent condition both historically and technically. To get a good impression of the lot, we advise you to come to the viewing day.
