This Volvo 850 R is in excellent driving and shifting condition, both on gasoline and LPG.
The meticulous maintenance of the past 24 years is fully demonstrable through a comprehensive folder with invoices. If desired, the LPG system can be built out without any problems.
In 2017, the engine underwent a complete overhaul, including the cylinder head and lower block. This included new pistons, piston rings, connecting rod and crankshaft bearings, and cylinder boring. A new turbocharger was also installed. In 2023, the timing belt was replaced.
This year, both the front and rear brakes were completely redone, and the PVC system was preemptively addressed. In addition, several parts were replaced and the car was fitted with new Continental ContiSportContact 5 tires.
The Volvo 850 R is becoming increasingly rare, especially in this version. The Dark Olive Pearl paint is in high demand and is in clean condition. The light oak/alcantara interior, combined with the manual transmission, makes this car extra special.
The driver's door catcher currently does not function optimally. It is advisable to hold the door when opening to prevent it from slamming.
The car features a discreetly concealed Bluetooth receiver behind the original, fully functioning radio, so that modern functionalities are available without losing its classic character.
