The original Fiat 500, introduced in 1957, was designed as an affordable, compact car for post-World War II Italy, and played a crucial role in the country's motorization. The 500 R served as the farewell model of this beloved series, emphasizing simplicity and functionality with some significant updates over its predecessors.
