Specifications
Description

The 1970 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL Automatic is a masterpiece of German automotive engineering, combining elegance and innovation in a timeless design. The "SEL" in the name stands for "Super" and "Long," indicating that this model has an extended wheelbase, providing extra legroom and comfort for rear passengers. This longer version makes the 300 SEL not only a status symbol, but also an extremely comfortable car for long journeys.

What makes this 300 SEL even more unique is the particularly rare color scheme with the color code Tobacco Brown, an elegant shade that perfectly matches the classic lines of the car. The combination of this color with the luxurious interior creates a stylish look that is rare among its contemporaries. Only about 9,000 of this particular model were built, further increasing its rarity and collector's value.

Under the hood is a powerful 3.5-liter V8 gasoline-injected engine, known for its smooth and powerful performance. This engine, combined with the automatic transmission, provides an effortless and refined driving experience. The 300 SEL is equipped with air suspension all around, which provides an exceptionally comfortable ride and superior handling no matter the conditions.

Although the car has run on LPG in the past, this system has since been disassembled, returning the car to its original condition. The electric window controls require some attention; one window works, but the rest have yet to be connected at the switches. The roof window motor works, but the roof itself does not currently open, which is a minor concern for the future owner to address. To get a good idea of the lot, we recommend coming to the viewing day.
