Description

The car offered here is from the collection of BP Classics. The following information was made available by the seller.

The Lancia Montecarlo was designed and produced in Turin at the Pininfarina factory in two series. Series 1 ran from 1975 to 1978, and Series 2 from 1980 to 1981. There were 2 body styles: a 2-door coupé and a 2-door Targa. From this type Lancia built the famous rally car 037 in 1982.

The Beta Montecarlo was finally unveiled in March 1975. The first series were labeled as Lancia Beta Montecarlo. They were called "Montecarlo," written as ééone word. Power came from a twin-cam 1995 cc Lampredi line four-cylinder, which developed 120 hp (88 kW; 118 hp) at 6000 rpm. Lancia claimed a top speed of over 190 mph and a 0-100 mph acceleration time of 9.3 seconds. Features of the first series were the massive panels on the rear wings above the engine bay and 8.8Jx13" alloy wheels, unique to this model. The interior was standard vinyl upholstery (TVE, elastic vinyl textile), with optional fabric. The driver's side mirror (the right one was optional) was a Vitaloni Californian.

In 1978, production of the Beta Montecarlo series 1 was discontinued. This so-called "Ladies-Ferrari" was imported from Italië to the Netherlands in 1984 and the last owner bought it in 1995 and kept it in his collection. Then we bought it in 2018 and it passed its MOT (MOT) immediately. It has been in our showroom ever since. It has no rust and is completely unrestored. It has optional cloth interior and also a right mirror. The very low mileage, original rims and beautiful original condition certainly make this a real collectible and valuable car. The car comes with a new MOT.
