Lotus Cortina MKII with Lucas mechanical fuel injection. After the great success of the Lotus Cortina MKI, Ford introduced the Lotus Cortina MKII in 1967. In Europe, it was marketed under the name Ford Cortina Twin Cam. Like its predecessor, it was equipped with the famous Lotus 1600 Twin Cam engine, which from then on had 4 HP more power. The 2nd series was constructed differently than its predecessor at Ford and could be ordered in all existing Ford colors. Nevertheless, 80% of this series was ordered and delivered in the color Ermine White.

This car is an early original Ford Lotus Cortina MKII series 1, built in 1967 and delivered to Sweden on July 2, 1967, making it one of the rare original left-hand drive export models. A total of only 622 examples were built in LHD and this one also has an odometer instead of a mileometer.

The car is equipped with a roll cage and Minilite rims, and is located in the Netherlands! Original front and rear seats are included as shown!

As icing on the cake, this Twin Cam is also equipped with a unique Lucas injection system with mechanical drive, via a special belt on the camshaft, called the Belt Drive Injection pump. This system is quite rare and is especially popular in the UK and paid highly for. The car is registered on its Swedish documents as a street-legal car.
