The 1976 Jaguar XJ 12 Coupe represents an important chapter in the history of luxury cars, through its advanced design and powerful performance. This classic coupe is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 engine, which was one of the first of its kind at the time. With an output of approximately 244 horsepower, the XJ 12 Coupe offered one of the smoothest and fastest driving experiences in the luxury segment of the 1970s. This version of the XJ series is distinguished by its rarity and elegant lines, emphasizing typical Jaguar style with a long, low profile and subtle chrome accents. This car has been in a collection (inside) for the last few years and was recently restarted and needs some fine tuning. A round gas tank has been installed in the location of the spare tire. It runs on both gas and gasoline. The car is a European (German delivery apparently) version of the V12 Coupe of which only about 500 were built: Total number of XJ V12 Coupe built 1873. Of which RHD 604 and LHD 1269. This is car number 1,029 built. Of those 1269 LHD, ca 750 were exported to the USA and of the rest ca 500 in EU version. The car has a Short Wheelbase 276.5 /CM and a Borg Warner automatic transmission. For collectors and enthusiasts, the 1976 Jaguar XJ 12 Coupe represents a period of technological innovation and design excellence. Not only is the model a testament to the engineering and design talent of its time, it remains a sought-after collector's item today because of its historical and aesthetic value. To get a good idea of the lot, we recommend coming to the viewing day.
