The Datsun 240Z, introduced by Nissan in 1969 and produced until 1973, has made a lasting impression in the world of sports cars. The 1972 model is often praised for its design, performance and historical significance. The design of the 1972 Datsun 240Z features a long hood and fastback roofline, contributing to an aerodynamic and sporty appearance. The clean lines and minimalist details create a timeless look. The interior is functional and driver-oriented, with a sporty steering wheel, clear gauges and comfortable seats. The 1972 240Z is equipped with a 2.4-liter L24 inline 6-cylinder engine that produces approximately 151 horsepower. This engine, combined with a 5-speed manual transmission offers decent performance for a sports car of the period. The 240Z can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 8 seconds, which was impressive for its time. This Datsun was newly delivered to the Netherlands on 02-07-1972. It was used from 1972 to 1984. The car was sold in 1989 for restoration and the following features are known: * Disassembled, blasted and taken to the sheet metal shop. * Purchased new tubular beams, bottom plates and screens from the Nissan dealer and then welded in. * Professionally welded and the putty on it is spray putty. * Chassis stored in a heated shed and sat idle for some time. In 2018/2019 the car was painted and rebuilt. The original engine was rebuilt in 1989, put in preservative oil and rotated regularly by hand. The upholstery is original. Brakes and brake lines have been renewed and new shock absorbers have been installed. New bumpers have been mounted, a new battery installed and the carburetors have been synchronized. The transmission shifts fine and the synchromesh rings are in working order. The heater fan does not work and the oil pressure is not displayed. The car was presented to the RDW in 2019 to get the license plate complete again and passed the inspection without any problems. The original license plate is complete. The car has been owned by the same owner for 35 years. To get a good picture of the lot we recommend you come to the viewing day.
