This UK-built two-door Ford Escort MKI is a well-preserved example of an original car from the 1970s. This Escort is a very nice car to build a Replica Mexico from, or just keep it as it is, 52 years old and still running. The engine is well prepared and runs very smoothly.
On the front we find the correct grille and headlights and a set of quarter bumpers. The unrestored body is quite solid; of course you will find some rust, but for its age it is very acceptable. In the trunk and under the bottom you can see how well preserved it is, as well as the straight inner wings. The battery is placed in the trunk. And yes, the body has marks that show it has been used for the past 52 years. The hood and trunk lid have been changed. It has nice Ford RS wheels.
The interior needs to be refurbished, but all in all it is a good base to make a very nice car out of. To get a good idea of the lot we recommend you come to the viewing day.
