Description

The car offered here is from the collection of BP Classics. The following information was provided by the seller.

This car was produced in Abingdon, England and was the successor to the 1959 - 1961 Austin Healey 3000 Mark I. The Austin-Healey BT7 2+2 Roadster with three carburetors (only 5,096 built) is the most advanced model of the Big Healey Roadsters. Produced for just over a year as an interim model before the introduction of the BJ7, the low-slung BT7 combines classic Healey roadster handling, sleek style and quick responses with the power and responsiveness of the triple SU HSF4 carbureted engine, which was used only in this model and its 2-seat sibling, the BN7.

This 2-door convertible with 2+2 seats has a built-in frame for the folding roof, but the cover is missing. There is also a Tonneau whose zipper needs repair. We bought an additional hardtop with rear window, which is not broken, but needs to be finished. The current owner bought the car in 2010 to prepare it for rallies, but after a lot of work (see invoices), the project has not been fully completed so far.

There is a new radiator, an alloy fuel tank, the bottom plates have been professionally renewed, we bought the hardtop, the engine has been completely repaired by professionals, and now the car needs the final finishing touches. Water hoses need to beïninstalled, bumpers are in place, and seats need to be attached to the new bottom. This beautiful car is equipped with nice red leather seats and wire wheels. There are invoices for work done and parts for over €10,000.00 including VAT for this car, in addition to what we have already done ourselves. The paint is not in show condition, but in reasonable condition for what the car was made for: driving.
