The engine and gearbox are correct for the car in terms of year and type and may be original, but this has not been checked by us! Starting with the 1976 model year, Porsche 911 models were galvanized at the factory, as corrosion problems often occurred in previous years. When we bought this car in Sweden in 2014, it was in very nice unrestored condition, only the original color had been changed. The striking colors of the 1970s were no longer popular in the 1980s, so many cars were repainted, including this one. We disassembled the whole car and the paint job was done by a professional company.
We made the Dutch registration and until 2 years ago the car was driven every summer. Since then the car was stored. The car drove perfectly, but every now and then we had to top up some oil, because there was also some leakage. We had this checked by a Porsche specialist and he recommended to leave the engine as it is, if we did not use the car every day, and so far it still runs smoothly. If you want to use the car regularly, it is better to put new seals and maybe new piston rings everywhere.
The body is very nice and in good condition, nice original Fuchs wheels and nice original black leather interior, stainless steel exhaust and European instruments with KM registration. This car comes with new MOT. To get a good idea of the lot we recommend you come to the viewing day.
