Beschrijving

The Cadillac LaSalle, introduced in 1927 and produced until 1940, was an important model in the history of the American luxury car brand Cadillac. The LaSalle was positioned as a more affordable and slightly smaller alternative to the larger Cadillac models, intended to bridge the gap between the luxury market and the more standard car market.

This model exemplified the Art Deco style popular in the United States at the time, with flowing lines, rounded shapes, and an overall elegance that gave the vehicle an unmistakable appearance. Designed under the direction of Harley Earl, a legendary figure in the automotive design world, the 1937 LaSalle represented a high point in prewar American automobile design. It had a bold and progressive design that exuded both luxury and performance.

The car was powered by a powerful V8 engine, which was an impressive technical achievement for the time. These engines offered a good balance between performance and reliability, making the LaSalle suitable for both daily use and longer journeys.

This 1937 Cadillac La Salle was originally delivered in America, then imported to the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, the Cadillac was then restored. The car was completely stripped and disassembled and repainted inside and out. The chassis was then completely blasted and galvanized and then powder coated. The paintwork looks generally clean. The chrome work needs to be further perfected. Various documentation comes with the car.
