Description

The Lincoln Continental was an idea of Edsel Ford and was designed by Ford's chief designer. In 1940, this car entered the market as an exclusive, luxury, handcrafted upper class car. The Continental was labeled one of 8 automotive works of art by The Museum of Modern Art, and Time Magazine qualified this car as one of the 10 best designed commercial products. This Lincoln is in beautiful condition. The noble color perfectly suits the design of this car and gives it a luxurious and imposing appearance. The paint, like the chrome, is very clean and has a nice deep shine. The mighty 12-cylinder engine runs very nicely and also the gearbox shifts as it should. The Lincoln was very luxurious for its time in 1948, with hydraulic windows, real leather interior and a hydraulically operated top the Continental was ahead of its time.
