Description

The Volkswagen Golf Mk1, introduced in 1974, was the first generation of the popular Volkswagen Golf series. In 1983, the Golf Mk1 was still in production. The Golf Mk1 was available in several body styles, including a three-door hatchback, a five-door hatchback and a convertible. This Golf is a three-door hatchback. It was a compact car that became hugely popular for its versatility. The Golf Mk1 was offered with several gasoline engines, varying in size and power. Some diesel options were also available. In this case, the car came with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine to which an LPG tank was later added. An automatic transmission was mated to the engine. The Golf Mk1 had a simple but effective design. It was compact and functional. The design of the Golf Mk1 is often considered an icon in the history of compact cars. The interior of the Golf Mk1 is functional and offers space for five passengers. This one in Mandarin Oranger is particularly luxurious for a Golf 1, with genuine leather seats, a sunroof and sports steering wheel. Also included are power windows, power antenna and headlight washers. Additional gauges have been placed in the center console and the car is equipped with genuine rear parking sensors and a tow bar. Besides the fact that this, original Dutch car, both interior and exterior is in good condition, the car has also been maintained in detail with an extensive folder of invoices. The car comes with a cost report dating from 2001 to the present. In it you can read back the punctual regular maintenance but also all known weak points of the Mk1 have been addressed and billed (incl. photos). All in all, it is a true enthusiast's car that is extensively documented. To get a good picture of the lot we advise you to come to the viewing day.
