This stately Mercedes 280 SE Coupe was delivered in 1968 and has been in the Netherlands since 1997. The coupe is stylishly finished in silver gray metallic over dark blue leather. This later series of the W111 model series is known as the "Flachkuhler," or flat grille. This facelift grille is lower and wider than earlier models. Contrary to popular belief, this modification was not done to create space for a V8 but purely cosmetic. This example is in original condition. The paint generally looks good, the interior looks a little tired. The leather on the front seats is cracked in a few places, as is the wood veneer on top of the dashboard. A folder with documentation and invoices is present. To get a good idea of the lot we advise you to come to the viewing day.
