The Cimatti HMW is an Italian moped that was popular in the 1960s and 1970s. The Cimatti company was founded in 1937 in Bologna, Italy, and initially produced motorcycles and later mopeds. Cimatti mopeds, including the HMW models, were popular in Italy and other European countries because of their reliability and efficiency. They were often used as a means of transportation for short distances and were appreciated for their simplicity and economy. Like many other mopeds of the period, Cimatti HMW mopeds are sometimes collected and restored by enthusiasts today. Cimatti eventually ceased production of mopeds and motorcycles, and the company disappeared from the market in the 1980s. This moped is in original, unrestored condition and features an HME engine.
