The Beetle 1303 Cabriolet is powered by an air-cooled boxer engine mated to a manual transmission. These engines are known for their reliability and easy maintenance.
The Beetle 1303 Cabriolet retained the classic Beetle design, but the 1303 series introduced some innovations, including a curved windshield, a new front hood and improved suspension. This convertible version has a fold-down fabric hood.
