The Porsche 911 Ölklappe owes its nickname to the special valve for the oil supply on the right rear screen. This invention was only delivered in 1972 and was quickly phased out after many drivers mistakenly poured gasoline into the oil supply. Due to its placement, the valve looked exactly like a fuel valve on regular cars, which could easily cause confusion, resulting in catastrophic engine damage. Porsche quickly put an end to this, so the Ölklappe was only delivered in 1972, with a production number of only 989 units. Nowadays an Ölklappe is a rarity and sought after by collectors. This example also has matching numbers and matching colors, which makes the rare olive green paint color Olive (414) extra special. This is a restoration from 2008 and the Porsche is currently not in a drivable condition. The engine starts on starting aid, but the fuel system and fuel tank need to be checked. The brakes are also stuck. Cosmetically the Porsche appears to be in good condition. The 911 comes from Oregon and came into the hands of an enthusiast in Estonia via Germany sometime before 2008. He has decided to completely restore the car without sparing any costs or effort. To do this, he hired a restorer friend and Porsche specialist, who completely dismantled and stripped the car. Various innovative solutions were applied at the time, such as the magnesium engine block was blasted clean with dry ice and the rear lights were vacuum chrome-plated in the Volvo outsourcing factory in Sillamäe. The car received about 70% new parts: lamps, glass for the lamps, new cylinders, seals for the engine, expensive new gears for the gearbox. All original Porsche parts. The leather of the seats and interior trim were also restored. For the best quality, some parts were sent to England for overhaul. The car was reassembled in March 2008 and the work was completed by the end of the summer. The interior is equipped with a retro-look Becker Mexico multimedia system with navigation.
