This Excalibur Phaeton came to the Netherlands from the USA in 1999. It was owned by an enthusiast who had the car in his personal collection. The collection was on display at the Amsterdams Automuseum in Zwanenburg. After the closure of this museum, the car has always been in his private shed. The car stood in a showroom/shed for about 23 years. Due to the death of the collector, the family brought the car to a garage last November. This one completely checked the car and brought it back to good running condition. In general, little work was needed. The following work was done, among others: New MOT Major service Brakes have been done New battery Number of fuel lines have been replaced This Excalibur is quite a special one, because it is a series 2 from 1974. The series 2 is the only series delivered with a 7.4l 454 big block from a Chevrolet Corvette. The series 3 and later were delivered with standard Chevrolet blocks. Because of the fast Corvette engine, the car has a lot of power. Around 300hp. However, this Excalibur is also equipped with an Edelbrock manifold and a Holley carburetor. This further increases the power output. The sound the car makes is phenomenal. The car starts and drives well. With the car is not a soft top that you often see, but a hardtop. This one does need to be refurbished. It also comes with a cover, which you can use to cover the interior. You can leave this one on while driving. To get a good picture of the lot we advise you to come to the viewing day.
