The Bentley Continental GT is a luxurious Gran Tourer that has been in production since 2003. This makes the elegant design timeless. When Bentley was taken over by the Volkswagen group, improvements in the manufacturing process and the expertise of a major manufacturer immediately resulted in a major leap forward in build quality. Yet the car is still partly built by hand, continuing the tradition and making it an authentic Bentley.
Various variants have been produced over time. The base model W12 was soon followed by the Speed, with more power, a sportier chassis and a differently tuned gearbox. However, this was not enough, because in 2009 the Supersports came on the market. This limited production top version has no less than 629 hp and 800 Nm, which enables a 0-100 sprint in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h. Compared to the Speed, the weight has been reduced by 110 kg. The carbon ceramic brake discs measure 420mm on the front axle and were the largest brake discs fitted to a production car at the time. Journalists praised the handling of "the best driving Bentley". Initially, the Supersports was delivered without a rear seat and with manually adjustable seats in the context of weight saving, later the luxurious 'comfort' interior, as present in this copy, could be ordered at an additional cost, with electric seats and a two-seater rear seat. Nevertheless, the carbon fiber interior accents indicate that this is indeed a sports version. The wider wheel arches, larger air intakes and cooling slots also give the Bentley a sporty and impressive appearance.
This European assembled Supersports was delivered in 2010 in Dubai. The car dealer was maintained there until it was brought to the Netherlands in 2018. It was then checked here by a Bentley specialist and further maintained. The last service was on 08-06-2022 at 67,261 km. In addition, major maintenance was carried out to the value of € 9600. Since then the car has driven only 130 km. The Bentley starts and runs nicely and is in good condition. A point of attention is that the electric closing function of the tailgate is currently not working. The Bentley is equipped with an alarm system from MovingIntelligence including immobilizer and vehicle tracking system, which can be operated via an app. To get a good picture of the lot, we advise you to come to the viewing day.
