This is a Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda, dating from 1968. Originally, the car was delivered new as a 250 SL. It was then completely rebuilt by the Mercedes Dealer to 280 SL specification. The beloved 280SL is powered by an M130 six-in-line engine which in this case produces 170 horsepower and is mated to an automatic transmission. The car is finished in a stunning color scheme. The dark brown exterior (Tabacco Brown, 423DB) is completed by the matching hardtop which is responsible for the nickname of this generation SL: Pagoda. Combined with cognac leather upholstery and cream soft-top. The interior is in beautiful condition, with a nice patina. The soft- and hard-top are also in very good condition. The sheet metal is nice and thin and the fits are correct. Under the hood, the beautiful condition of the car is also visible. Thanks to the dry and favorable climate, the car has otherwise remained beautifully preserved, completely free of rust. In short, a Mercedes-Benz 280SL in very nice condition. To get a good picture of the lot we advise you to come to the viewing day.
