Benjamin was a French brand founded in 1921 by Maurice Jeanson. The company produced light cars until 1926. This Type B was built in the second year of Benjamin's existence. The body is finished in the then assigned French racing color Bleu National, combined with black spoke wheels and a brown leather interior. In all likelihood, this Benjamin Type B was a factory team car from the 1920s. The car would have competed in the 1922 French Bol d'Or. The car was driven by Violette Morris (April 18, 1893 - April 26, 1944). Exact production numbers are not known, but it is suspected that there are only 19 to 20 of the type B&C together. This makes it an extremely rare object. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
