The Duetto, also known as the Alfa Romeo Spider, is an iconic roadster produced by the Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo. The Duetto was the third generation of the Alfa Romeo Spider and was introduced in 1966, but the year 1969 is often considered the peak of its popularity. The 1969 Alfa Romeo Duetto had a striking and timeless design created by Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina. It was a two-seat roadster with a distinctive round nose, long hood and sloping back. The body of the Duetto was made of steel and the body panels were handmade, which contributed to its exclusive look. The interior of the Alfa Romeo Duetto was simple but elegant, with leather upholstery and classic round instruments. The 1969 Alfa Romeo Duetto was praised worldwide for its excellent handling, sporty performance and timeless style. It became popular as an affordable sports car and was often associated with the Italian dolce vita lifestyle. The Duetto was later made famous by the 1967 movie "The Graduate," in which a red Duetto played a prominent role. All in all, the 1969 Alfa Romeo Duetto remains a sought-after classic among enthusiasts and collectors for its unique design and driving dynamics, as well as its historical significance as one of Alfa Romeo's most iconic models. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
