The Talbot Lago Record T26 Saloon is a model of the French car manufacturer Talbot that was produced between 1946 and 1953. It was a luxury saloon intended for the upper echelons of society and offered a combination of elegance, comfort and performance. The Talbot Lago Record T26 sedan was also originally equipped with a powerful 4.5-liter six-cylinder engine that produced between 120 and 165 horsepower, depending on the version. The car had a top speed of more than 160 km/h and was connected to a four-speed manual gearbox. The interior was spacious and comfortable with room for five passengers. The design of the Talbot Lago Record T26 Saloon was based on the performance and elegance of the French sports cars of the time, with a streamlined body and an elegant appearance. The car had a long, low bonnet, sweeping fenders and a sloping roofline that flowed into a short rear. The suicide doors are also striking. The Talbot Lago Record T26 was built between 1946 and 1953 in a total of 750 units. This number includes all variants. It is not possible to find out how many of these are the saloon version, but it is clear that it must be a small number, as there is hardly any information about them. They are rarely offered for sale. It looks like this car still has its first paint. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
