Specifications
[description]

The Ford Thunderbird MK 5, also known as the fifth generation Thunderbird, was produced between 1967 and 1971. It was a redesign of the fourth-generation Thunderbird and was built on the Ford DEW platform, which was shared with the Lincoln LS and Jaguar S-Type. The Thunderbird MK 5 had a longer wheelbase and a more streamlined body than its predecessor and was offered as a Coupé or convertible. The car had a number of different engine options, including a 6.4-liter V8 engine with a capacity of 345 hp, coupled to a three-speed automatic transmission. The fifth generation was introduced at the same time as the Ford Mustang. They wanted to prevent both cars from becoming competitors, so the Thunderbird was made more luxurious to enter a higher market segment. It had a number of luxury features including power steering, brake steering, air conditioning, power windows and an AM/FM radio. The interior was spacious and comfortable with vinyl or leather upholstery and full carpeting. The car offered here is a four-door Landau version with suicide doors. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
