Volvo 66 L 1979

The Volvo 66 is a compact car produced by Volvo at the former DAF factory in Born in Limburg between 1975 and 1980. The 66 is an improved version of the DAF 66, after the takeover of DAF by Volvo. The 66 is delivered in a sedan and estate version. It was a smaller car than most other Volvo models. The L-version of the Volvo 66 was delivered in the Netherlands from September 1978 until December 1981. The Volvo 66 L was equipped with a 1.1-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that produced 47 hp. The engine is connected to an automatic transmission. The Volvo 66 L from 1979 was a simple and reliable compact sedan with a focus on safety and functionality. It was a unique model in the Volvo range. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
