The 1950 Packard Eight de Luxe was a luxury automobile produced by Packard from 1949 to 1950. It was one of the most prestigious cars of its time and was considered a symbol of American luxury and technological progress. The Packard Eight De Luxe was equipped with a powerful eight-cylinder engine with a displacement of 288 cubic inches (approximately 4.7 liters) and had an output of approximately 130 horsepower. This was an impressive performance at the time. The car also had an advanced three-speed transmission with an optional overdrive, which improved fuel efficiency and driving comfort. The interior of the Packard Eight de Luxe was luxurious and comfortable, seating six. The car also had a number of advanced features and controls such as a built-in heater, clock, ashtray and cigar lighter, radio and optional air conditioning. The Packard Eight de Luxe was a very popular car and was considered one of the best cars Packard ever produced. It was one of the most expensive cars of its time and was often considered a status symbol. Today, the 1950 Packard Eight De Luxe is an increasingly rare and sought-after classic. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
