MG TD 1953

The MG TD is a roadster produced by the British car manufacturer MG (Morris Garages) from 1949 to 1953. It was a successor to the pre-war MG TC and was designed to meet the demand for a sporty, affordable open sports car in the post-war market. The MG TD was based on a steel chassis with a self-supporting body. It had a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produced approximately 54 horsepower and reached a top speed of approximately 129 km/h. The interior of the car was simple but comfortable, with leather seats and a simple dashboard. The MG TD was praised for its sporty and responsive handling and its attractive retro styling. It was a popular car among racers and car enthusiasts and was used in many racing events and rallies. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
