Description

The Jaguar E-Type was a sports car produced between 1961 and 1975. The E-Type was a revolutionary design with a streamlined body. The E-Type Convertible had a folding top that was manually operated. The body was designed by legendary designer Malcolm Sayer and had a streamlined and aggressive appearance with a long bonnet and short rear. The E-Type Convertible 4.2 S1 was powered by a 4.2-liter six-cylinder engine producing 265 horsepower. The car had a top speed of about 240 km/h and accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in about 7 seconds. The E-Type was popular with celebrities at the time and was known for its sporty performance and stylish appearance. Today, the E-Type is considered one of the most famous classics and is highly valued by car enthusiasts. A total of 6,749 were produced. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
