Description

The Maserati Merak is a sports car produced by the Italian car manufacturer Maserati between 1972 and 1983. It was a smaller and cheaper version of the Maserati Bora, with a similar design but a smaller engine. The Merak was available as a four-seat Coupé, and most were equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine that produced about 190 horsepower. The engine was connected to a five-speed manual gearbox and was able to accelerate the car from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 8 seconds, with a top speed of around 240 km/h. The Merak's body was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign and was similar to that of the Bora, with a streamlined profile and distinctive hinged doors. The interior was luxuriously decorated with leather and wood accents and featured a distinctive dashboard design. A total of 1,830 Maserati Meraks were built, making it a rare classic car. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
