The Jaguar MK X 3.8 is a luxury saloon produced by Jaguar Cars between 1961 and 1964. It was the largest and most expensive model in the Jaguar range. The MK X was introduced as the successor to the Mark IX and was in fact an enlarged version of the Jaguar S-Type and was succeeded by the Jaguar Mk x 4.2. The Jaguar MK X was positioned as a high-end luxury saloon and was considered a rival to the Mercedes-Benz 600. The MK X was equipped with a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine and had a top speed of 193 km/h. The interior was luxuriously appointed with leather upholstery and wood accents. The MK X also featured technological gadgets such as disc brakes on all four wheels and independent front and rear suspension. The car was manufactured in Coventry, England. The car was popular with statesmen, royalty and celebrities of the time, including British Prime Minister Harold Wilson and Elvis Presley. A total of 12,678 were produced. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
