The Bentley S1 Saloon, introduced in 1955, marked the debut of the S-Series luxury car range. With its classic and elegant design, the 1955 S1 Saloon exuded a timeless charm that is still admired today. Its long and graceful body featured a distinctive front grille, rounded headlights, and a sleek profile, embodying sophistication and style. Under the hood, the 1955 Bentley S1 Saloon housed a 4.9-liter inline-six engine. This refined powertrain generated approximately 178 horsepower, delivering a smooth and effortless driving experience. The engine was paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, further enhancing the car's refined performance. Step inside the S1, and you would be greeted by an interior that epitomized luxury and craftsmanship. The cabin boasted sumptuous leather upholstery, meticulously crafted wooden trim, and high-quality materials throughout. The seating arrangement typically accommodated four passengers, providing generous legroom and an opulent ambiance for everyone on board. Each Bentley S1 was a testament to handcrafted excellence. Skilled artisans meticulously crafted the bodywork and interior, paying meticulous attention to detail. The result was a vehicle of unparalleled quality and craftsmanship, representing the epitome of luxury. The Bentley S1 Saloon holds a special place among collectors and enthusiasts. Its limited production of only 3.538, iconic design, and association with Bentley's heritage make it a highly sought-after classic car. We have been informed that this is probably the first Bentley S1 delivered in the Netherlands. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
