Beschrijving

The Austin 1800 MKII was an upgraded version of the original Austin 1800 'Landcrab' that was produced from 1968 to 1972. The main difference between the MKII and the original model was a number of cosmetic changes and improved technical specifications. On the outside, the Austin 1800 MKII had a new grille, new bumpers and a new interior. Under the hood, the car was powered by the same 1.8-liter gasoline engine as the original model, but various improvements were made to improve performance and efficiency. The Austin 1800 MKII also had improved suspension and brakes, which improved the handling and safety of the car. In addition, the model came standard with front and rear disc brakes. Today the Austin 1800 MKII is a classic. The model is a reminder of the automotive industry of the sixties and seventies and is appreciated for its unique design and reliability. The car was originally delivered new in the Netherlands. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
