Daimler Dart Convertible 1960

The Daimler Dart, also known as the SP250, was a sports car produced by the British car manufacturer Daimler between 1959 and 1964. The car was designed to compete with the MG and Triumph sports cars of the time. The Daimler Dart had a unique design with a streamlined, low body and a distinctive grille with the Daimler "D" in the center. Under the hood was a 2.5-liter V8 engine with 140 horsepower, which was impressive for the time. The car also had independent suspension and disc brakes for good handling. Although the Daimler Dart had impressive performance, the car also had reliability problems and the image of the manufacturer was not always associated with sports cars. As a result, only 2,645 of the Dart were built before production was discontinued. Today, the Daimler Dart is considered a rare and valuable classic, attracting attention for its unique design and performance. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
