Description

The 1955 Singer 9 Roadster is a variant of the Singer 9 produced between 1939 and 1955. It was a sporty roadster with two seats and a folding top. The Roadster was intended to be a sporty and comfortable car to drive and was therefore often used for weekend trips and touring. Like the standard 1955 Singer 9, the Roadster was powered by a 1074cc 4-cylinder engine producing 34 hp. This was enough for a top speed of about 100 km/h. The 1955 Singer 9 Roadster had a stylish and classic design with round headlights, a long hood and a shorter rear. The car was relatively compact, with a length of just over 3.8 meters and a wheelbase of 2.3 meters. The interior of the Roadster was simple, but functional and comfortable. Today, Singer 9 Roadsters from 1955 are still popular among classic and vintage car enthusiasts. Approximately 12,700 were produced. The car was originally delivered in the Netherlands. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
