The Porsche 964 is a generation of the 911 that was produced from 1989 to 1993. It was the first 911 model that could be delivered with all-wheel drive, and the first models from 1989 even had it as standard. These Carrera 4 models were succeeded in 1990 by rear-wheel drive Carrera 2 models, instead of the other way around. Power steering and ABS were also standard on a 911 for the first time, along with various improvements to the chassis and aerodynamics.
